Getting Steam Achievements Unlocked from Other Empires in game?

Hi all,

New Distant Worlds player and first time poster here.

I'm running version 1.9.5.1

Not sure if this is addressed in 1.9.5.2 or not but I'm having a weird issue where Steam achievements are getting unlocked in my account for things I haven't actually achieved in the game. These were getting unlocked during successive playthroughs over the course of a few days.

For example, I got both Conqueror achievements for taking over 10 and 50 enemy colonies even though I never even started a war with any other faction yet, let alone conquer a colony. When I recently loaded my save game, I noticed that my empire only has two achievements listed in the Empire Comparison screen under the Achievements tab (these were expected and I know I did them). I then noticed that the other empires had achievements listed that curiously matched the same achievements that were getting unlocked in my Steam account. Turns out every Steam achievement for Distant Worlds that got unlocked was tied to an achievement listed for an empire in my save game, even if they were AI. I'm not allied with any empires and I don't believe there is any team setting so this came off as a tad unexpected.

Has anyone else experienced this? It's very strange. It would be nice if I only got achievements for the things *I* did with my *own* empire...lol.

That said, I'm enjoying this game very much so far.
