Naw, I had that tooth filled years ago...then the filling fell out...so it was rotorootered out again and a bigger filling applied...then the tooth cracked...so I needed a root canal with a temporary filling...then I waited 7 years <nobody told me that was too long>..so now another rotorooter and a new temp filling and now that has to be drilled out again next week and I need to have any microscopic cracks filled then recapped...then I go back in August to have the cap drilled out again and a permanent crown applied.

I know the dentist figures he can get another three or four payments out of that tooth, but isn't it time to clamp down and insist on an implant? I understand the werewolf and vampire ones are big with the hip people these days (not that I'm one of them) ... (and also not that anyone ever thought I was!)

My dad just got a dental implant at 83 [:D] He fought for that tooth way longer than I. The Mandrake clan fights for their teeth.

FAM: <looking at battle reports> Yubari? Really? How many times has that damn thing been sunk already?

Moana: It's almost as if damage reports are irrationally exuberant.

FAM: Yes, yes. I was wondering the same thing.

Did I tell this story? Hell, I can't remember.

So I am watching Blues Brothers during my infirmity with SG III. There is a great scene where Ray Charles runs a music store and a musician complains the action is dead on the piano. Ray comes out from behind the counter and starts playing Shake Your Tail Feathers.

The other musicians join in...the folks outside start dancing..great scene.

SG III watches the whole thing...pauses...then says "He's acting like he's blind" [:D][:D]

I was horizontal for about 4 d...so I watched everything on Netflix...even a 3 1/2 director's cut of Das Boot with no subtitles.

You can pretty much make out everything that is going on just from context, the acting, the occasional homologous German word and some knowledge of submarines.

The thing is fantastically filmed with great sets. Did they really have a working boat for the surface shots?

Neighborhood update Quiet...almost too quiet. No screaming matches at night in the 'hood. The couch cushion hasn't been pissed on for 2 months.

PG is claiming she is going to move to a smaller place in a town named after a saint because her ex is threatening to go BK. I thought the $15K per month was unsustainable.

The nice but nerdy guy from across the street with a Harvard law degree and a PhD from MIT moved out...I guess...either that or he was killed
by a coven of blonde witches and they put his parts in a pickle jar. There are like 5 women over there about the same age and no men....except a carpenter and some painters from Jalisco.
Come to think of it, I don't think I have seen the carpenter for a week either. Maybe I should go over and introduce myself?

Bill Cosby told this story about Ray Charles...

He went over his house one time, whether to pick him to go somewhere or whatever I forget. So Ray is getting ready and (memory fuzzy, someone, probably) Ray's wife tells Bill to go in. The bathroom itself is in the dark, but in the light from the hallway Bill can see him at the sink, leaning over the sink a few inches from the mirror.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm shaving."

Bill is caught totally aback. "But, but..."

"What is it?

"The light is off."

"Turn it on if it bothers you!"

It's acting. He's a very accomplished actor. Been doing that particular bit since he was born, if memory suits. [8|]

Angels stadium? She's likely to find some suitable fodder there.

Close! According to the movie "Ray" , he lost his sight around age seven when he failed to save his little brother from drowning. Some kind of PTSD reaction.

Now hold on. I'm not sure that is really fair. Sure, PG seems to bed every tradesman that comes to the house but I don't think she asks for payment. Well, maybe a little extra attention to the pool filter, but that's it.

For a minute there I thought that this AAR had been lost on an IRS hard drive.

For a minute there I thought that this AAR had been lost on an IRS hard drive.
I heard that the NSA/FBI/CIA found a link to this AAR on the hard drive of some ex-employee named Snowdon, and they have
installed software that inhibits posts by Mssrs. Mandrake and Prior. They are investigating every use of the word "bomb"
in this thread, and trying to find out what happened to "The Most Interesting Man In The World".
