Actually this empire paying me money for protection not other way around. And they are not pirates as advisor thinks.

Are you sure it is not your advisers saying "these fools pay us nothing, cancel that deal and let's raid them back to the stone age"?

The pirate AI will cancel protection deal when they judge that the best action.

Pretty sure. In my new game i have 8 protection agreements with empires and regularly AI advisor wants to break them leaving my pirates without income.
