Change of plans?

Post by Grouchy »

I guess "Highway to the Reich" is the same as the promised free estabs & Market Garden Expansion Pack?

What does it mean for the "old" AA owners, will there still be any updates on the game (and scenario and map editors as I have 2 more or less finished maps that refuse to work once creating scenario's with them), estabs or any maps for AA: Red devils over Arnhem?

Grouchy,

No need to worry about your maps.

It's not mentioned in the other thread but you will be able to open them in the new MapMaker and recalculate their Terrain/Visibility data and generate a new style Map Cache file. Then they will be all set to work in AA: HTTR.

Grouchy,

what kind of problems do you get with your maps? I might be able to help if you give more information about error messages, build process etc.

Cheers

Golf33,

I think they contain too much control points and one is simply to small.
Forgot the precise number but in the old BF forums PG stated that they found out that if your map is smaller then around 10 km it would crash, same about the control points.
They load fine in the mapmaker, but as soon as I try them to load them into the scenmaker, exception errors and it crashes.
Since PG said they where aware of them and already fixed them in the new build, I thought no worries, I continue working on them and just wait for the patch.

Paul,

Just am somewhat dissapointed when I read the announcment and messages yesterday, I can understand the reasons to charge money for the new maps and scenario's etc.

But I consider the reason my maps arn't working are because of errors.

Spend quit some time on the maps and now bassically have to buy HttR to get the maps working.

If you Zip your maps up and email them to me at contact@panthergames.com I'll check them out and see what I can do to get them working and get back to you. How's that?
