What's happened to the Panzer Command series?

Panzer Command: Ostfront is the latest in a new series of 3D turn-based tactical wargames which include single battles, multi-battle operations and full war campaigns with realistic units, tactics and terrain and an informative and practical interface. Including a full Map Editor, 60+ Scenarios, 10 Campaigns and a very long list of improvements, this is the ultimate Panzer Command release for the Eastern Front!

Yes there are Baird and as their self appointed champion you can make a thread about each one of them if you like. Why crap on someone else's favourite?

I think he's a combat mission fan is why.

There are dozens of titles sitting in the "dustbin" forum as you call it that need patches and support more than we need another PC title.

have also posted in support of continuing the series. It is my understanding that Matrix owns the Panzer Command series. Which means they can do what they like with it.

Yeah what's up with that?, there are several abandoned games here, looks very bad from a client POV.

Who are these 'clients' of which you speak?

Matrix actually owns the source code unlike most of their games which they are partners with the developers who own their source code. So with very little investment things can get done. They can take as much time as they like doing it, no development team is going to starve in the mean time.

I will say that all this discussion is causing at least a slight stir in the universe. Keep adding more names to those interested in seeing another game in the system and it may happen. Or an expansion of what has already been laid out might happen.

Or BOTH! [X(]

Keep adding those numbers baird at least more are interested and that's a good thing. Tell your friends and again tell those on steam (if you use steam) to come here and voice their opinions. The more the merrier we accept all. [:)]

Any of you folks who are interested in more Panzer Command happen to be decent C# programmers?

Oh how I miss the days of games that used Basic (from AH and SSI).

Playing around and learning how to program in Basic (and let's not forget DOS) many ways "guided" me into my career in technology.

No, but if you wanted to expand PC via the Kickstarter route, I would contribute.

might be an interesting experiment at the very least to attempt a kickstarter with a title like this, not sure it would work but who knows. This thread made me reload PCOF and read the manual. I forgot how much content you got with this game. One thing that has changed from yester year is game content. It's one thing that disappoints me with games of today. Seems like companies already have DLC/Addons/expansions planned from the jump to "maximize profit" but i digress..... the point is you get alot of content with this game.

Yeah, I agree with that. Kickstarter would be an excellent way to try and see if PC is interesting to others. What's the hurt?

I agree with the content being way beyond what most other games have to offer.

See, look we have an artist, wont be too long and a C# programmer will be on the way.[;)]
