Impossible to launch the game on fullscreen

If you can't get into the game to change your display settings, hold down the CTRL key while you're launching the game. This should show you the game options dialog before the game itself launches, and allow you to return to Windowed mode.

same as me then, and it work on those settings as well, so must be a steam issue, and not a gaming one, try and post reply back if its sorted / fixed

I have played the Steam and Matrixgames versions and both are equal....it can not be a steam issue.

Perhaps your graphics card does not support the full screen at a very big resolution but you can reduce it without change the desktop resolution.

I have the same problem (steam version).

In the game options i uncheck the "windowed"-box and my screen turns black. Even Alt+Tab does not work. (Win 8.1 64bit, AMD Catalyst 14.6b)

It seems that Close Combat changes the resolution different to the checked native resolution of my monitor...

Thx Steve ! That work, In windowed ... but ... it's better than nothing !

Nomada ===> My graphic card can easily turn in high resolution CC so it could be strange if it's that the problem ... especially i have only this problem on CC game (I will try on Cross of Iron for see ...)

Well Steam must have done another update overnight as its doing the same thing again...

I ran the file you linked to so that it runs in windowed mode, that work ok.

The issue definitely seems to be with Steam.
