Heavy artiellery rounds are more efficient west of Metz, but this is a secondary front. Nevertheless, these units won't participate in any counterattck attempt, and this might prove important later.

The Japanese clearly intend to conquer Chenchow.

Even though they conquered Tunisia, Italy feels it has to prove it exists by pounding Wavell. Would the Italian troops attack if successful ?

This is followed up by a wide attack on the French front, ranging from Belgium to Dijon.

The British don't let Gort to his fate, and try to help him by sending bombers which pass through the German fighters.

As do the French.

But the German flak, still very active, chases away the worst.

Gort has his glory day, repulsing the German onslaught.

As does Mao west of Chenchow.

But French troops have to flee east of Paris, letting the German close the Maginot prison a little more...

The German attack leaves Paris isolated ; no help will be forthcoming, and one hardly sees how the German advance could be stopped, so wide now are the holes in the french line.

The allies sink some Italian convoys in the East mediterranean. This is more for attrition than anything else: anyway, with luck, the Italian troops might become vulnerable.

The German clear up the vicinity of Paris, so as to launch a full attack on the next impulse. The French could do little, but move their lone armor unit to protect the city.

And Gort heroically surrenders.

In China the commies hold quite well!
The consequences are that the promising Japanese summer attack is brought to a stop, with no substial gains from the spring. Meanwhile, new troops will come to refill the southern lines, stuck in the moosoon mud.
