ERROR CODE 486

Post by bakrix »

Hello everybody, first post from me.

Then, I own a regular Matrix Campaign Series game. I am playing the Afrikacorps campaign. Now my PC is unable to play the AI turn becouse of a "hang exe" or something similiar, perhaps due to downloaded auxiliary components of the browser.

So I tried to play the CS on a new hard disk with Window 7 never connected to the web yet, by copying the whole game folder on a memory card, copying that on the HD and running it, but the game won't start, instead appearing "Code error 486".

What's that and how to overcome this issues ?

Thank'you for the support and sorry if this is a repost.

That's a registry error. You need to install the game, not just copy and paste it.

Also ensure you are using the latest 2.01 UPDATE.

Hi Jason, H.v.F. here

Thank'you for the fast answer. And after installed the game, which are the files to be pasted to continue the ongoing campaign ?

I remember that once you asked what features players wanted to be included in Matrix version of CS...Now I have an answer: the engineers must be able to clear the wrecks blocking a bridge or a road ! I am also playing The longest day, and the movement is a headache....

Any files that have the commanders name would be the ones that you would need to continue the campaign.

There are those types of engineers now in the game. They are available in the OOB editor. Once you have the 2.01 UPDATE installed
, take a look at the manual in the "What's New" section.
