Is the new Sprint/Drift feature only in BETA? I have the latest version and the tab is not present on the formation editor

It is present in build 553. I have used it.

However, on another note, I find that it causes the formation to slow down to allow ships to catch up. Haven't been able to keep a TF at a constant speed with a ship enabled for sprint and drift.
