I was wondering if there are any plans to have CMANO function on Linux?

Have you tried it under WINE ? It is a pretty standard Windows app in terms of the DLLs etc it uses.

I tried installing and running Command on Ubuntu 12.04 about 3 months ago and couldn't get it to run

I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 on my Desktop and Laptop and I will try again to get it to run with Wine.

Command uses some Windows-exclusive components (Direct-X being the biggie) so it may be challenging.

I think Command uses DX9, in which case it might work under Wine since Wine supports DX9.

Hey guys

I successfully installed Command using a utility called PlayonLinux. From there I installed DirectX and .Net4.

I was able to update Command to the latest release version in Linux .

I have a shortcut on my ubuntu 12.04 Desktop for Command which takes me to CMANO's splash screen. However that is as far as I can get

When I click on Play on the splash screen it doesn't take me anywhere.

I posted to the Ubuntu Linux site. I'm trying to see if I can install Direct X 9.0c. Right now I have Direct X (R) on Ubuntu.

.net4 seemed to install correctly

I will post to let you know if it is possible or not to install Command on Linux.

The main reason I want to use Linux is because with Linux I can use 3 monitors. With Windows 7 I can only use 2.

Command with 3 monitors = (sweet)

Bump

Has anyone got this functioning yet using Wine and PlayonLinux? This is the last program I have to get working under Linux and I will be able to fully migrate away from Windows, so anything to help me out on this would be hugely appreciated.

Linux users being as a rule more enclined to what's under the hood over 3d graphics, they are likely to buy the game if there is a linux version imho.
