Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Would love to see you input varying degrees of competence for unit commanders instead of them being left as default. In these platoon size scenarios leaders are even more important not only in battle outcome but also for immersion. Plus we will prob see exactly how much these stats influence the game. I'm hoping they can have a big impact with high stats.

I've been tinkering with them to do that, Capnhillrat. It's easily done. I hadn't realised they were default settings. Well spotted, Jason.

One of the quickest ways to vary the commander and unit ratings is to apply a random variation. Check out the menu in the ScenMaker.

Cheers, Dave. Didn't even know that option existed.

See pic, Chris. This was the only way I could figure it out - which means you set each characteristic, then the variable is applied.

Thanks Phoenix! I have been setting the unit values for all of the scenarios but I had not tinkered with commander values. Will try that with Holding Komarovka now.

Many many thanks, Chris. Both these scenarios are superb. I already had Taganrog, but hadn't seem the tiny Komarovka scenario before. With Tiger tanks! Ingenious disabling of one of them. Well done. You must be an engineer....

Is the scenario historical, at all? Was there a fight at Komarovka?

Phoenix I think that very likely there was fighting at Komarovka. The Germans retreated through this village on their way to establishing a perimeter a few kms to the west.If you were to zoom out from this map you would see this is one of the few roads into that perimeter. The terrain and weather at the time would have forced the Soviets to attack along this axis I think. The SS unit and commander fought in the Narva bridgehead perimeter.
