Call for slow AI saves.

Post by johnnybravo »

Hi all!

I need your help: could you please provide savegames that cause long (like annoying long) AI turns to take next? Ideally with description of how long this turns take for you to finish and your CPU description.

I am making AI faster for you of course and I need saves for further research ;)

I need the guidelines for sending you the savefile in a compressed format. Got a game running about 6.5.to 7 minutes for the AI to finish, after a clean save and restart. Otherwise takes 8 to 12 minutes. Running on an old Acer laptop with AMD Athelon 64 chip and 3GB of RAM.

Saves are located in "Documents\My Games\Commander The Great War" folder. Please compress it and then post with "Click here to upload!" link at the bottom of post window.

Sorry, but everytime I try to upload I get a message that says "C:\fakepath\autosave..... not supported". Got any idea what is wrong?

Please put your attachments in a .zip or .rar format, before you upload it here on the forum. This may help.

It is the zip version I'm trying to upload. I just don't get what "fakepath" is in the error I keep getting. I can guarantee you that there is no "fakepath" folder/diretory on my machine. [&:]

It seeme to me there is a memory leak. The longer I play the slower the AI is. Almost coming to a complete stop. Exit the program and reload the turns go much quicker. Still very annoying.

Please download the latest and new PC patch 1.5.1, it should have solved this issue for you.
