Good morning all.

What a night of prairie pounders. Some real entertaining weather. Four thunderstorms in a little over 3 hours. Boy the lighting was intense. Wind, rain, hail and a couple of tornado warnings. Some damage, nothing to serious considering some of the winds and hail.

Thanks again to USS Mike for hosting some good food and drink. Thanks to Historiker for that delightful Nicaraguan cigar and the interesting chat. Good to see Steve-o and his better half too.

Glad you're home safe. It was our pleasure to be able to host everyone! [8D]

What did you think of the ship?

We had about 3 inches of rain here yesterday in about 2 hours. Not bad winds or tornadoes, fortunately! [:)]

The lightning was the most entertaining. Almost constant flash and rumble. Sounded like the Soviets wanted Seelow Heights. Couple of real good flash/bang ground strikes in the neighborhood. Hadn't seem lightning like that for awhile. Right now our IT guy is trying to get everyone's computer up running. All CADD programs are knocked out on the servers. I guess this area lost power for a few hours last night. My rain gauge showed 2 3/8" this morning.

Lots of atmospheric 'heat lightning' here last night too. Hot and humid at midnight. This morning, very pleasant and less drippy. [8D]

Didn't go to the ship, as I didn't relish the 4 hours driving for a (short) day trip. I think AW1 and his commander-in-chief made the trip though. No word if they got rained out or not...

Yes, much nicer today. Upper 70's to low 80's for the week. More storms Thursday?
