Inactive units & chemical strikes

Post by Tazak »

Should inactive units suffer the full extent of chemical strikes (damage and reduction to readiness etc) or does the inactive 'flag' make them somewhat immune

All have to verify, but I believe that attack with fully effect the unit. Inactive freezes the unit until it get attacked, again need to see if a NBC attack triggers this, or they spot an enemy. I'll check it out tonight.

Cheers CD, not sure if i'm seeing some form of immunity or a random nature of chemical strike effects (that appears to erring on the side of nil effect)

If you have a save game that shows the attack and nil effect, I will check it out later tonight. It is possible that the NBC attacks are not triggering on inactive units as it should since NBC attacks run their own code.

attached a saved game, at least 2 units are under a NP chemical cloud for 10+mins but still showing nearly full readiness and no causalities, ran it several times with the same outcome

Sounds buggy to me. Your save will help track it down. Thanks.
