Your maps gave a beautiful look to this extremely intelligent girl called FCRS. She´s the girl of my dreams. [:D]

It's been a while since I posted anything here in the thread as I've had a busy month with work and moving house. I also got a tad burnt out so was doing other things as well, like actually playing some games for a change.

To get back into the groove, I have been mucking around in PSP again and copied W1ll14m's idea of planning maps but taking it further again by creating an actual map sheet.

I'll release these as time permits, but the hard stuff is almost done. I'll only have to modify a few things on the template to create a new one. and maybe rearrange things with different size maps. I'll probably package them with colour and greyscale maps together. Here's a WIP for Red Storm 9:

That is friggin' awesome. I am currently running a Kriegsspiel using FC:RS and that exact map. are you planning to add in gird line designators? If so the grid and legend information would come in really handy for my game. Right now I am using a makeshift version of the one W1ll14m did.

Actually, I've just finished adding in the grid designators.[:)] I've added a note to say where a grid line in the longitudinal axis has two numbers either side of it this means that it intersects two hex columns.

Anychance you could upload the download with all the maps in to say 4Shared or Onedrive. That way we don't have to pay o download multi file folders. I use both One Drive and 4Shared and have found them excellent.

I'll probably upload them to Google Drive at some point. That will allow you to pick and choose files for a single download.

My next map will be Red Storm 4 from 3rd Herd as I've decided I'll alternate between updating and building a new map. Here's a WIP shot, elevations, rivers and road net are done:

Great maps. Very well worth the effort to install.

That said: mediafire redirects makes malwarebytes go insane. About every third dl the redirect mediafire tries to open is blocked.

Very, very uncool that mediafire tries to send malware or at least doesn't adequately audit its advertisers who try to send it.

Of course that isn't your fault, Plodder but if there's a less advertising intense, higher rep site you could host those great maps on you might consider it. OTS has a new site. Maybe they'll let you host your map files there.

Once I get the base site up and running I will tackle getting uploads and file folders setup for ALL 3rd party content. I'm new to this whole website/domain/fileserver world and already eye's deep in other tasks, so please hang in there while I get it all going.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

Sorry to hear that, Back when I first starting using it, Mediafire never used to be like this. What I'll do is upload the maps to my google drive folder until the Capn gets the website going. I have a few days off work coming up so i'll do it then.
