Short battles in Operations?

Post by PzIV »

Hi All

Back to playing the Close Combat games again and really enjoying it.

One thing has struck me. When on the Operations section as the 101st AB I secure the village and battle is won by the allies. Then it goes back to the page for the next battle.....this is usually the same map but with me (the allies) controlling it and the Germans attacking from the extreme bottom left hand corner. This fine but when I win again it takes me back to the page for next battle but then doesn't let me advance to next map. Basically it looks as though I win the first map over 2 battles then that's it. Is that me won the 101st AB operations .........???
I will say that I am on an easrier setting just to ease my way back in to playing the game again. I thought there would have been a few battles per operation......?
Is anyone able to shed some light on this please......what am I doing wrong??

Cheers in advance!

It sounds like this operation begins with a battle and you are forcing the only German BG to disband. The next turn begins and a new German BG is entering the strategic map on the same battle map. If you defeat this unit and no new German BGs appear you may need to advance several turns before another enters the strategic map.
