I'm sorry, BBfanboy-there's not enough wine and lasagna out there (regardless of the quality) that would entice me to doing a prostate exam on a 350+ man on an otherwise lovely evening out. To each their own, I guess.

I think he meant Wine Girl. [:)]

Even so, after you are married I don't think you are supposed to do that kind of thing. I think it's in the rule book somewhere.

You did agree on alternative "house rules" to supplement your rules apriori, no?

There's a manual?!? How come no-one told me this? Granted I'm coming up on 30 years this month, but there's a lot of wear and tear along the way that could have been avoided if only I knew the rules in advance.

The Good News: Yes - your spouse/significant other has rules she wants you to follow.

The Bad News: The rules vary according to mood, time of month, whether you have accumulated enough political points, fog-of-relationship, etc.

Kyushu: The escorts accompanying 22nd Marine run into WJD DD's. Somehow it is always the sheep that stumble into things at night. Nothing left but a few Sikh turbans flaoting about.

Firestarter

Post by Cap Mandrake »

Watched a few minutes of an old movie called Firestarter with a young Drew Barrymore. Absolutely terrible movie but quite an interesting notion. She is a kid who is able to make people spontaneously combust with special teleconflagration powers.

Imagine you had that ability next time you get into a road rage incident. It would be glorious.

Speaking of "iridescent waves", here is what happened in Hokkaido.

Hokkaido: USS Indiana is headed back to Bihoro after refueling. She was to provide surface security over the landing ships.....but she slowed to look at the fluorescent wake at night and did not make the cover of the carriers...so..oh, wait, first the night battles at Bihoro....oh Hell...can't get my email to work. You'll just have to wait. [:'(]

Pretty sure that's one of the many movies made from a Steven King book.

I feel like a Joni Mitchell song...

"I was a free man in Paris and I'd go back there tomorrow
but for the work I've taken on stoking the star-maker machinery
behind the popular song"

One of my colleagues put me on two weekends in a row. Worked 16 or the last 17 days.

We had a group-wide stand-down yesterday over provisions of the ACA. I was invited to speak to the billing department to light a fire under them.

I told them I was there to talk about a business opportunity...Amway.

I may have not been the most enthusiastic choice.
