Is there a setting to NOT automatically invade Belgium on the first turn of Germany's entry? I'm playing my first game as the Central Powers and Germany invaded Belgium automatically.

Not in the stock game as far as I'm aware - however, over at the Slitherine Forums, you can find a user-made scenario that features a neutral Belgium, UK and Ottoman Empire:

I'm disappointed the game's diplomacy system does not allow for a "chance" of when Britain will intervene (which they would have regardless of invading Belgium) and the fact that Belgium if not attacked would have stayed neutral. The Germans are forced into war with Belgium. I have multiple WW1 games and one of my favourite Central Powers strategies is to hold against France in the south and concentrate on Russia first. That is, without invading Belgium.
