With Italy I save the only oil they receive because it is imperial to have 2 oil available for oil reorganization if you are going to spend one oil for reorganization and still be able to use the generous rounding rules. And that means that Italy may not spend the saved oil for reorganization this turn. Unfortunately, this means that Italy produce 2 build points instead of the 3 they would have produced if they had used the oil for production.

Japan has one idle resource and 4 idle factories and that is not good enough. The CP that I have out should be enough to send all resources, and oil, to production. The main trouble is the oil I receive in trade from NEI. They are transported to the mainland so I send them to factories in Japan instead by using the where to command. After each change I always click on recompute so that I can see what the other changes might be, if any. I also order the Hainan resource to be produced in Canton and now I produce with all available resources.

Ormster can you let me know why there is a convoy point in the Sea of Japan and another in the Bismarck Sea please? Thanks.
Those two convoy points are there purely for supply purposes. This because the 'limited overseas supply' option is on.

The CP in the Sea of Japan is the backup supply line to China. It is at sea from the beginning because USSR could declare war and attempt to cut the Japanese supply line to the mainland during the surprise. With a secondary sea route then they need to do so in two sea areas.

The CP is in the Bismarck Sea in order to keep the ships I placed in Truk, during set up, in supply.

The ground strike disorganizes both Belgian Corps in Antwerp. The Japanese ground strike has no effect.

Germany rails yet another Corps to Italy (La Spezia).

Japan rails the Cavalry Group to Chengchow. It had previously been performing anti-partisan duties in Korea.

Japan occupies the cities Hengyang and Kweiling without any US entry chit being drawn. Italy occupies the minor port Ajaccio in Corsica.

During this break I have been pondering on whether to launch a Italian offensive in the French Alps. Since the weather is fine this early give decent odds to capture border hexes but attacking boost French production. I have changed my mind several times since I doubt that attacking is the best thing to do. But in the end I decide to make these, risky, attacks because the German attack in Belgium may still be stopped and I feel that speed is so important and success in the Alps will put pressure on the defenders early on if they are moderately successful.

Japan makes a high odds (7-1) attack against the trapped 1st Cavalry Army. China fervently begs that the die will be with China and disorganize the entire Japanese army since the situation is close to a rout.

Italy also attacks Tunis and adds two battleships in shore bombardment in order to make the attack 7:1.

Germany send a LND2 (Stuka) in support of the attack on Antwerp in order to make the attack 5:1+2. The Allies can do nothing to change this because Belgium is surprised.

The two German attacks in Belgium were a success. On the Antwerp attack a 6, modified to a 8, was rolled and the other attack was automatic.

The first Italian attack into the Alps is a failure.

And the hits just keep on coming. [:@] Another 2:1 attack into the French Alps and another 3 is rolled. France gained a extra production bonus. Italy lost two militia. And nothing at all gained for Axis.

Italy finally had a successful attack and captured Tunis without losses.

Japan rebase a NAV2 to China in order to reduce the risk of getting partisans.

Germany and Italy rebase fighters one or two hexes towards the France.

HQI (Umezu) reorganize three land units. No other reorganization.

All active Allied nations select a land impulse.

No port strikes. No naval air. No naval movement. No strategic bombing. No ground strikes.

France rails two militia to the Paris area.

In the south China retreat their defensive line one hex.

France move their land units into Belgium in order to get a defensive line further from Paris. CW move Gort (HQI) into Belgium as well. The motorized infantry corps stay in Calais.

CW then land another motorized corps into Calais and a mechanized corps into the Gort Hex.

No land attacks.

CW rebase the Belgian FTR2 to London so that it will remain on map if (when) Belgium should become conquered.

France reorganizes two militia with Billotte (HQI).

Thank you, Grotius.

The winter storms has now arrived and effectively halting any thoughts of continue with the offence until the weather turns better. In the south part of China the weather is still fine but much of the Japanese army is disorganized so I doubt that I can take advantage of the fine weather.

A long time has passed since I was able to play MWIF. Therefore I lost inspiration to continue with this game. I am sorry about that. [:(]
