OK, OK, that's enough Evil Empire stuff, your just jealous.[:D] Show me one other team that's got 4 of 5 starting pitches on the DL that has a 1% chance.[:'(]

I will consider myself fortunate if we don't have to do the gold watch retirement tour every year for the next 4 years for various and sundry Yank me's that are hanging up their cleats. I can't take any more of the Jeter world tour following on the heels of the Rivera one.

Have I mentioned that I really don't care for the Yankees? [:D]

ETA: Some of my favorite baseball was the Yankees/A's playoff clashes of the early 2000s. We came out on the wrong end of those matches, but they were good baseball. It really stoked my fires to watch the World Series after the inevitable A's elimination and root for the National league team. [:'(]

I think this is it for the 'gold watch retirement tour', but ya gotta admit they're two of the best the game has ever seen. What's that, you don't care for the Yankees? Nooooo. Hey, even Jeter says it, they either love us or hate us.[:D]

Hey USSMike-this site puts the Orioles at 87% probability of making the postseason effective today. [8D]

Yeah, now that it's August, being in 1st place starts to actually mean something! [8D]

It was busy today. I spent an hour (seemed like 20 minutes) talking to Reg, a former WOp on Lancasters. He flew with 50 Sqn from RAF Skellingthorpe which was later absorbed into the boundries of Lincoln itself. A tour of ops which included 10 trips to the Big City and what would appear to be quite a few other events and incidents. He was over the wing spars like a racing snake, certainly quicker than his son! He came alive when he was sat in 'his' old seat with the WW2 radios and electrics in front of him. In fact he was in there so long that he missed the last bus back to the car park!
