More MIL-style map markers

Post by Redmarkus5 »

This set of map markers is intended to give the map a more military, less gamey appearance. Apologies if this has been done already - I didn't spot anything in the threads...

Use JGSME to install or backup your Assets/Map Markers folder and then paste this into the main game folder.

Oops! Thanks for spotting that. It's now included in the Zip.

What is a good freebie program to edit these .png map markers and retain the transparency? MS Paint isn't cutting it. I tried making cool Panzer Leader-style wrecks but couldn't get them to display without the white background. Also, I like the bridge markers but would like them a little thicker to see them better.

Try paint.net or GIMP. Paint.net is probably the more user friendly of the two..

Bingo, works like a charm with the magic wand feature. Here's what I was talking about with thicker bridge symbols and PL-style wrecks, in color of course.
