It was quite the week for news last week. One of the very cool bits of news was a phone call asking if Alex would play hockey for the Jr. Hurricanes A team this season. It seems someone needs a goalie. Still working out the registration paperwork, but their first practice is tomorrow evening. [8D]

Alex told me on the phone, "I made the Jr. Hurricanes A team without even trying out!" [:D]

Have you been watching the eruption of Tavurvur near Rabaul? Some nice footage and pics out there. Yeah, Geology was one of the subjects I minored in college and still like to keep track of it...

We have a function we are helping tear down for a non-profit with our scout troop at 1945, but I am just going to DVR the game from 1915 until I get back around 2045 and just skip through the commercials and the blah-blah between plays. Should be caught up by the end of the game. [:D]

I do that with hockey games all the time! If I give 'em about 30 minutes head start, I can even watch a couple of minutes of intermission stats and things and finish almost at the same time as the live game. [8D]
