Install or dont install the newest patch?

I've got a campaign going on it's the 50 scenario or something like that.
And now mine question how should i and mine opponment install it while we are further with the game?
Could someone explaine it please to me?

The Japanese player installs the beta and conducts his turn. Sends the combat replay and turn to Allied player. The Allied player views the combat replay. Then installs the new Beta. Then does there turn and sents back to japanese player....GP
