How to create a new SP AT type?

Post by HOTEC »

The self-propelled anti-tank battalion (e.g. Hetzer) is SP Artillery type.
Is there a way to create a new type for SP AT?
Is the armor type an option?

True that, cpt flam, but HOTEC might see the mods sub-forum for methods to make non-standard pieces. Some struggled to make up a "Maus" from bits & pieces, apparently successfully.

No symbols for SP AT, SP AA and Panzer Pioneer to be used.

Why do you say that? I made a whole bunch of hypothetical post May 45 tanks, mobile flak and half tracks.

If it is a combat type unit, it may be quite interesting.
Jagdpanzer Battalion is a SP Artillery symbol. Should it be a self-propelled anti-tank symbol?
A dot represents an artillery. It should not have a dot in the anti-tank symbol.

More bugs to eradicate; luckily Moravel seems to have an infinite amount of bug repellant, time and patience. I wonder if it fights like armor or an engineer? Could be a armored engineer? (Joke)

I think it's best to use "Armor" TOE type, "SP Artillery" TOE type is a good choice as well. Both use leader mech skill and are counted as motorized by default. Engineers/AT Artillery are not a good choice, because they are counted as non-motorized units and use leader infantry skill. That's actually the only two places (besides icon) where the TOE type counts. More important is which ground element type is used by elements, TD/SP AT elements fire AP by default, while Assault Gun fire HE by default.

Just try to have some controls on replacement priority and a stronger main effort with the ceiling on number of regiments and battalions created during WWII.
