Not sure what Germany waits for except that I have an uneasy feeling so General caution takes charge and cancels the planned attacks.

A fighter and a bomber provide ground support for Balbo and increase the odds by two.

Germany rebase their naval bomber to Sicily. Germany also rebase a bomber from Poland to the West front. Japan rebase a bomber from Japan to China.

Rundstedt (HQA) reorganize one fighter and one bomber.

Italy went to war with France but are still at peace with CW. Unfortunately it is not possible to declare war on Italy with CW because the US entry is to low at the moment. [:(]

Good plan! Stick Malta under pressure.

Malta is secondary to my reason of sending the naval bomber to Sicily. I sent it there because from there these two air units can reach the two box in all three sea zones in the Mediterranean.

Sicily is almost as good as Malta for dominating the Mediterranean by air power. Now these two units are not doing much domination but it is a beginning.

No declarations of war. No Port Strikes. No naval air.

HMS Kent load the 2nd Infantry Division and sail to the East Mediterranean joined by two convoy points.

No strategic bombing.

CW try, once again, to distract Germany by launching a ground strike mission against Germany. This time the German panzer army is the target.

The Sidney militia rails to Adelaide. USSR rails the 3rd division from Odessa to Tallinn.

China moves a few units closer to the Japanese lines. USSR continues to move Zhukov west.

When I begin to move the French units around I realize that I should have railed Wavell to Lyons. If Axis gets to move twice then it is a risk that Italy can capture Lyons. I placed the French cavalry so that it can reach Lyons but this depends on the weather. I dislike to having to depend on next turns reinforcements to defend Lyons but it might come down to praying for the turn to end. Not happy with how the situation looks in the south but at the moment the German forces are deemed to be more dangerous so I do not weaken the defence against them. Not sure that this is the right call. [:(]

The only French unit that I see have a chance to do so is the French cavalry and that demand snow or fine weather.

A reinforcement can do the trick as well.

Unless misfortune grins axis in the face, France must fall together soon. Too many possible blitz attacks in the north and in the south undefended hexes. (But maybe a chicken in another hex could have stoped the risk of a breaktrough in at least one hex).

CW debark with 3rd Corps in Djibouti. The Corps was planned to land in Suez but the recent declaration of war by Italy changed its destination.

No land combats. No reorganization.

Italy launch a ground strike versus the French corps blocking the way in the alps. Germany send three ground strikes against France.

Japan send two bombers to ground strike Changsha.

Germany is a little light on fighters. Only two left and France intercepted the German bombers on both hexes bombed. And France has a bomber left. Also annoying is that the weaker fighter only reach the northern hex where the better French fighter intercepted.

First air to air combat ends with a minor French victory. The bombers cleared but the German fighters where shot down.

In the second air combat no result was rolled during the first round and France, happy with getting the last German fighter committed, aborts the combat.
