Aircraft Withdrawal Problems

Hi,

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I was unable to find the answer. I have air groups that I need to withdraw, but the option to withdraw them is not active, even though the base is a size 7 airfield with more than 20,000 supply. For example, I have two groups stationed in the Eastern United States that are costing me PP every turn because I cannot withdraw them. Other air-groups I've been able to withdraw without a problem.

I'd hate to disband them, losing the planes and pilots, but I'm considering it as I'm losing so many PP every turn. What am I missing here?

Was there something I did wrong that made the groups un-withdrawable, or is it just the way those groups are set up?

You did nothing wrong. Some units have to be disbanded and you lose the aircraft. You can release all of the pilots into the reserve pool before you disband the unit.
