Hi Dan, glad to see you back!

As far as I know, Andrew Rader is well, even if he doesn't play WITPAE anymore. He's very busy running for a place on the 2023 space trip to Mars and he's actively creating video-you tube- tutorials about life in space and on other planets.
He is also running a company of board games.

So he's fine, but don't think he's interested anymore in AE

By the way, where do I find the WitP-AE addiction withdrawal support group? [:'(]

I think Marky is only person that I have ever put on ignore on Matrix forums...

I just read this from start to end. Sad to hear the news on Des (aka. DivePac88). He was the first guy who made me realize this forum is a community - not just a bunch of gamers. RIP.

Is Andy Mac still around? I've not seen many posts for a while (but then i'm not on the forums often myself!).

Anyone remember 'Japan'? Not sure I miss him, but he did add some entertainment!

AirGriff is another I've not seen in a while. Speedy? Fabertong? JeffK? They all had AARs I enjoyed at different times.

I guess real life interferes from time to time

Andy Mac doesn't post much anymore, but he's still there. I've had a bit of off forum correspondence with him in the last month.

I'll throw a couple of names into the hat.

1) Yava. Piotr was my first PBEM opponent back in the distant days of the original WitP. I've lost contact with him despite trying to send several emails [:(]

2)Gladiatt. Despite being French, he was a top bloke. Sadly he had a wife who was seriously ill and after they moved I've not been able to contact him again.

I don't have Yava's email , but did have Eric's (gladitt). I'll let you all know if he responds.

i was really surprised to receive your mail on an old email. I did send a answer, not sure you get it.

Just sorry to have worry you guys.
Not much time to come here: now i go on a french forum (sorry Dixie, i am always french [:D] ).
And sadly my wife health get worse.....

i will try to come from time to time [:)]

Unfortunately, we have to add Khyberbill (Bill Greenman) to this list. He was my first and only PBEM opponent so far. He passed away on August 6th from cancer.

I feel weird opening up the saved game menu and seeing that file there in slot "018". Even weirder when I open it up and scan the map a bit.

It's kind of funny how you can feel so sad about someone you never actually met in person - just someone who would drop emails with that nice little paper clip indicating an attached turn. A little bit of trash talking about events in the game, a few questions here and there about random life topics - and then you feel really sad reading the on-line obituary.

It's probably because Bill seemed like a really good guy. Good sense of humor, polite and courteous about turns and very understanding about all my "newbie" questions.

RIP Bill. You'll be missed. [:(]

Good news and bad news. The good news is you won't have to come to Nebraska when you come and visit me. The bad news is now you'll have to come to St. Louis! [:D] Hang on a couple of years and you can make it Florida! [:D][:D]

Hi all,

Do you guys remember "AmiralLaurent" from original WitP - his great AAR showed how it was possible to capture and hold Hawaii?
