The time delay between posts turns out to be a real pain when you have a lot of shots to download. I eventually had to resort to a stop watch. I can imagine having a long AAR to post being even more of a pain. Any possibility of the delay being shortened a bit? One minute between posts is a drag.

As for the pictures-fantastic. Wish I could have been there. Thanks.

They were. But equally awesome was that Mig-17. What a combination of power and maneuverability!

I like going to airshows, but just wish there was a bit more variety between shows. These photos look great, and all different planes to the ones I get to see (over here in the UK).

My dad did his flight training at Ellington Filed in Houston in WWII. Nearly sixty years later, he and I went to the airshow there. Being an old bomber pilot, he made a bee-line to the B-17. He just stood quietly for awhile, and had just turned to leave, when another old guy called his name. Turned out to be an old crew mate - a gunner - who flew 20+ missions with my dad. The really poignant thing was that they had separated when my dad rotated back the States for a spell and both had heard that the other one had died during the war. Easily the most awesome experience of my life, watching those two old guys being 20 years old again for a few moments. We miss them.
