Hm., I did something wrong. It has been a turn, and the unit will resize when conditions are met.

It works best when they are the only unit on the ship, if you are sizing to max size. I haven't tried downsizing.

I've noticed that units don't always resize to the max size of the ship if there are other groups present. I think there must be a capacity check.

EDIT: This is even when you set the resize manually, not just "resize to fit ship".

Thanks, I am "resize to 20" no other planes on the ship. Will give it another day or two.

What are the dates for the rocket engine to be in production?
And what are the projected dates for KI-202?

Interesting times ahead.

The ship does need to be in a port for it to happen. Disbanded, or in a TF, doesn't matter. It may need to be able to dock if it is in a TF.

Spidery ran it thru a program of his a while back, it could come anytime from fourth quarter 44 to Jan 45 I believe. Maybe sooner because I really committed to it. Depends on luck...the engine around Aug 44 with the current engine factories. I plan on adding one more however and that might accelerate in another 2-3 months.

The best bases for it are Luzon/China/HI. I am building bases for them -- both front line bases and rear (rail connected) bases for repair & recuperation.

Not that I know of. Only to take the planes.

Many thanks![:)]

I am actually resizing air squadrons! I am a gamey sob![:D] Actually, I checked our HR, which I basically have forgotten, and we don't have any. My predecessor resized several and I am wondering now if I can load those huge squadrons back on a carrier and downsize them a little.

How long does it take to resize? Days? Week? Does the CS need to be in port or in a task force? HQa needed?

Plonk them on a CV, click the resize button a couple of times till a pop up window appears, then simply put in the size of squadron you'd like, click OK and they'll resize the following turn.

If you do all that and then disband the TF, it usually happens immediately.

Post an updated picture of the state of your Ki-202 factories and your engine factories and I'll give you an updated expectation...

Night bombing: Uttardit get hits. KAI Dinah's disrupting but several fighters nailed on the ground. Don't know what does it, but this was a more effective than normal night bombing...good weather contributed, I am sure, but the rolls simply went his way.

The Cruisers bombard Rangoon, and damage only 10 planes on the runway and disrupt some troops. I had hoped for better. Oh well.

As always, once the bombardment goes in there is a mad dash to escape. During the day, heavy clouds obscure the ports...

But Enemy bombers strike at Moulmein....American fighters sweep Chiang Mai...those bombers could have used some escorts!

All ships return to relative safety...

Heavy Allied bombing in Marshalls and at Chiang Mai...

Here is the latest Ki-202 factory r&d, Many thanks Spidery[&o]

The Jake/Irving squadron didn't resize. [&:] The CS was at sea, albeit at Cam Ranh Bay and didn't move. Should I disband in port, or dock? Disbanding seems to be the best bet.

I lost 8 planes on the ground last night to night bombing at Uttardit. Worst day in a long time. 4 KAI Dinahs lost total, 3 due to ops, and one 1 air to air.

Still, America lost more including 3-4 4Es[:)], and the Brits lost 14 divebombers to the Oscar IV's dual centerline 20mm (lots of critical hits!).

I am flying some Rufes into ambush his unescorted bombers in the Marshalls. Should be a surprise!

It may also be a limitation on the AF size. It seems to work like CV groups - your CV groups can't resize or upgrade planes at sea, obviously. They need to be at a port that also has an airfield large enough. That's while in a TF. I've had ship-based groups resize without issue as long as the ship was disbanded at a real base (a dot base didn't work).

I did all my resizing with the CS disbanded in port. They don't burn fuel that way [;)]. You can try docking, that might work.

It could have been a good day for the Empire, but I foolishly left an airbase in Indochina without night CAP of KAI Dinahs and lose 20 planes, mostly fighters, on the ground. Bad mistake.[:-] Just goes to show the outstanding job the KAI Dinahs have been doing for the Empire.

In the Marshalls, the Rufes (all six out of nine flyable) get in amongst the American bombers and do really well. Great little trap. A veritable buzz saw!

The Americans and British bombard at Tavoy, he has 10 ART units there, a Tank unit and an American Divsion. Only 22 casualties, though thanks to the forts and terrain.

I docked my CS, and the Jake squadron doesn't resize. I will disband now and see what happens.[&:]

In other action, Oscar IV and Nicks strafe some British gunboats. The British actually bring down a Nick. No bomb hits, but a few shell hits....

Scant days away from getting Irving S, Rex and George.

At Tavoy, I am going to put some infantry into Reserve, No pursuit. This should keep them away from bombardments, but will hopefully throw them forward if an attack is made, the rolls are made, and they tip the odds.

The main excitement for today will hopefully be a strike by that hard working Betty squadron from Indochina. This time they will head after some transports at sea off Ramree Island. Lots, and lots of escorts and they are all flying from Pegu.

If the Allies have supply, I expect an attack at Tavoy...curious to see if the reserve no pursuit will work!

Night bombing all over the place in Indochina...I hope he stays clear of Pegu which has a BettyRaid setup and not much in the way of defenses.

Pete's on night CAP -- pass their first test.
