Then just ignore it or green button it.

I've never liked the idea of steam so have never gone for it for just this reason, you like it that's fine with me but you don't have to defend it every time there is something slightly negative about it. The same way I don't post my thoughts on every thread that is pro steam.

Storm in a tea cup probably, we all make up our own minds but he should be able to have his say in the same way it's your right not to have to listen to him witter on about it, so don't.

We haven't had a thread about Steam for about 2 weeks now until this one which was created specifically to call out Steam and Steam users as being in the wrong.

Right wrong ? who gives a monkeys it's how you decide to spend your money, if your happy then crack on you don't need to justify or defend what you do.

He was just pointing out something he thought was important for people to know, if you don't think it's important then that's fine, ignore it.

Which is what I'm going to do with the rest of this threat let it die and fall off the lists.

I was pretty happy to start to get Matrix titles on Steam. I always buy here and get hard copy too.
Then I activate my Steam copy. Contentment ensues.
My only complaint about Steam had been that my experience with what they call "customer service"
has been very, very poor. Since Matrix/Slitherine has always given me first class service there is no problem
there. I have almost 600 titles on Steam, most picked up for the price of a beer or a six pack on sale.
Some people will complain about anything. Malcontents are everywhere and never satisfied. They do stand
out from the crowd and as a result aren't very interesting or dangerous.
What would happen if Steam went away? We would lose the convenience which we wouldn't have if it wasn't there
in the first place! I would imagine if the internet were not destroyed by catastrophe a fix would appear.
