FAQ: If you encounter a bug, or something that you think is a bug...

Post by Gil R. »

In order to diagnose and fix bugs it is often essential for us to have the save-files and/or autosave files from just before and/or just after the "bug" was encountered. If ever you encounter something that may be a bug, be sure to copy those files before continuing your game. Then, please post a message here describing in detail the problem you encountered, so that we can determine whether it indeed sounds like a bug (and a new one, at that).

Michael Jordan plays ball. Charles Manson kills people. I torment eager potential customers by not sharing screenshots of "Brother Against Brother." Everyone has a talent.

hiya folks// general question-the manual states that if a unit is forced to retreat and there are no friendly provinces to retreat to-then the unit will surrender.  however i have found that the unit in the situation described above simply retreats to an unoccupied enemy province and converts it to a friendly province (with some attendant unrest).  is there some additional condition?  thank you for your attention.//ed

Howdy folks, I've been playing FoF for a long time now, and while I absolutely love the game, there's an issue I've had since I first installed it that I'd like to get some feedback on. I don't know if this is a bug per-se, but it is strange, and from talking to other folks, I understand it is unusual. Basically, when I play as the South, the North never touches its navy. Not a single ship moves, and nothing approaching a blockade or a naval invasion ever materializes. This obviously has a pretty big impact on how the game plays. I still have a great time plaing it, but it would be cool if I could get the whole experience. Have y'all ever heard of this type of thing before?
God Bless
