Two Questions

Post by gsmart04 »

1) is there a thread for beginners of this game to ask questions?

2) been playing WITE for about a month now and am finding it takes a half hour for me to finish a turn. Is Command MA/NO that way?

Seems like two stupid questions but I don't know where else to ask. [&:]

How fast-paced Command is depends a lot on the scenario. Some scenarios are very short while others are extremely long. Some have constant action while others are very slow.

1) You could start with the mega-FAQ but nobody will mind when you ask your questions here.

2) Some scenarios can be really long but you wont even notice the time passing.

Thanks to both of you guys for answering!

Sorry, I should have been clearer.I understand some scenarios may consist of a lot of turns, but what I'm really asking is how long does it take to make a move (typically). In WITE it's taking me a half hour to make a move what with all the units and resolving combat and I'm only playing one 17 turn scenario not the campaign game. I'm hoping that the typical turn in Command MA/NO is less.

There are no turns in CMANO. You play in real time, but you can set the time elapse at whatever pace you'd like. My personal preference is 1:5, which is 5 seconds for every actual second that passes.

You also may have to pause the scenario a few times to issue commands to units as needed.

But you cannot think in terms of turns in this game - everything is happening at the same time.

Stupid me! I should have known this. The time then is kind of like it was in the Harpoon series with real time moves which can be accelerated if necessary.

Thanks!
