What is the * next to air group?

What is the * next to air group?

Post by jzardos »

Looked at one-page guide but couldn't find my answer. What does the * prefix for these two air groups mean?

Thanks

So can air HQs be overloaded? Or does it just mean they have more supply to distribute and that is a negative?

and Support

jzardos - you know you can edit your posts, so you don't have to keep adding new posts every time you want to update. It just keeps these threads cleaner and easier to follow. You do what you want, though. [:)]

Regardless, the asterisk should be explained in the manual, what it is, and how/why it should or should not be there, but it is not explained. So, there is extra confusion which is unnecessary if everything was explained.

So, is an air group unit a certain number of planes?

Is an air base unit an airport?

What exactly is an air HQ unit, please?

I'm just trying to understand the relationship between the three, and why some would have an asterisk, and how to fix it. Thanks!

So, is an air group unit a certain number of planes? Yes - and pilots

Is an air base unit an airport? It's more the men and equipment at an airport. If there are no men and equipment the runway still exists.

What exactly is an air HQ unit, please? It's an HQ for air units - more importantly the vehicle for setting ADs.

So the best situation is that the unit flying the planes and the unit fixing the aircraft work for the same boss.

Sorry about all the posts of mine to the thread [:(], got a little nutty there.
Head was spinning, better now.

Trying to determine the effect if during the current turn the Air Support needed exceeds the current Air Support # on an Air Base. If the base is currently under capacity.

thanks.

If you don't have the required air support need, then your logistics system will not be functioning at full effect (planes will not be repaired as quickly is probably the main issue, but there may be others as in impacts on a/c participation in raids).
