post screen shot questions here

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

fires per element, Manual pg 249, right side 2nd paragraph.

hits per element- same place

RNG is the range that those hits were made if I read that correctly.

Sometimes I wonder if I enjoy reading the manuals more than actually playing. It's a sickness started in my ASL days.

I don't have a screenshot, but during air combat execution, I'll frequently see (f0/r0) in the "messages" box in the lower-right hand corner. E.g., I'll see the message reporting on a bombing raid like this: "159th Bomber Group bombs City, target Oil..." (f0/r0). What does the f0/r0 mean?

If no one understands my question, I'll grab a screenshot tomorrow.

These are the number of partial escorts that flew in support of the mission. The f0 means there were 0 partial escorts flying forward (on the way) to the target and the r0 means there were 0 partial escorts flying to meet the returning bombers.
All understanding comes after the fact.
