My Matrix Basic league team secured the #2 seed and a bye this past week. Semi-finals this coming week.

My old work league team was trailing by 33.2 points going into last night's game, with only my QB left to play for either of us. Let's take a poll: Would you guys rather be ahead by 33.2 points and counting on Atlanta's defense to stop Aaron Rodgers, or would you rather be behind and have Rodgers lighting up Atlanta like a pinball machine? [:D] Rodger's 60 yard TD pass to Nelson in the 4th quarter put me ahead for good and it's on to the semi's in that league as well. [&o][&o][&o] [8D]

Drew Brees (along with all my WRs, RBs, DT and DEs) has been the millstone around my fantasy neck this season. What a craptacular season for him and all my guys.

Note to self: Toby Gerhart is not a good second round pick. Note to self redux: since this isn't a contract year for Reggie Bush, he's not worth a third round pick. He's like a P-38: fast and elegant when it decides it wants to move, but otherwise a hangar queen. [:D]

ETA: I *did* manage to pick up some RBs off the waiver wire that performed well. Right up until the point where they went on IR. [8|][:-]

Thanks to all in the Matrix Fantasy Football League.
One and Done for the playoffs -- I thought Payton Manning would have been all the QB I needed this year but there were at least 2 games where he fell flat costing me wins. This was the first league I've used an Auto-Draft (yes 20+ years playing FF and this is the first) so I will know a little better how to adjust my draft sheets next year.

Good luck to all, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and open up the Joy Juice -- the off season has begun.
