Red Lancer-Q regarding your West Wall scenario

Post by tiger111 »

Just a quick question

I`ve started yor West Wall scenario and am curious as to why the German air units all seem to be on Rest?

Also there is very little Allied air activity either Allies on AI.

What Auto Air Directives would you suggest for both Allies and Germans?

Thankyou

I can answer that question. There was a requirement that units in each scenario begin with Fatigue on air groups. The best way to remove Fatigue is through Rest. Their was little to no Luftwaffe interference with the Allied airborne landings in the Netherlands.

The Luftwaffe was set to Rest to eliminate as much of the double-digit Fatigue as possible before the Axis Player Turn. If we could have, John and I would have eliminated the double-digit Fatigue level on the German Air Units and had their initial setting moved away from Rest. As scenario designers we did not have this choice.

The Allied air groups do have Fatigue, but unlike the Germans they have work to do. We felt that the accumulated Fatigue on the Allied air units was historical.

The Luftwaffe is weak and needs every chance to recover. Setting the initial setting to Rest gives the Axis Player a more historical start.
