Daniel McBride scenarios

Post by Olorin »

Unfortunately, when my laptop died I lost everything I had stored, including Daniel McBride's scenarios, which are very hard to find. So I ask you kind people for any McBride scenarios you might have, especially the following:

Drang nach Osten
Braunschweig (Drang nach Asien)
BERLIN: Götterdämmerung im Osten, 1944-45
Operation Mars
Tobruk '41 (Crusader)
El Alamein
WWI

Thanks in advance.

Have a look first; some might be still for COW etc and need to be converted.

Yes, thanks for the link - very useful indeed!
For DNO I have version 3.7 on disk (mod. date 2009) which is - I believe - the latest avail in public (?) so if anybody interested let me know.

I've these and:

1. Afghan-Indopak War 2001 (ME)- I think Matrix Edition?
2. My Operation Mars is 1.8- Herr Oberst hast 1.7
3. There's a list here

I show these as included in TOAWIII:

Rundstedt's Plan Martin 1944 Included in TOAWIII
Tobruk '41 (Crusader) Included in TOAWIII
El Alamein Included in TOAWIII
Sevastopol 1942 Included in TOAWIII

Is this still the case (been a while)?

The lad you really need to (definitively?) confirm with is shunwick.

Hope this helps.

Sure I'll take a copy if it is all set to run with TOAW3.

Hello Herr Oberst,
Ich melde mich an!

Here is DNO 3.7 link to a file I've put on my dropbox account. It is an archive exactly as I got it few years ago via a link posted by some good soul on one of the forums (don't remember was it from here , Gamesquad or yet another forum).

As for question of beeing set to run with TOAW3 then well... it is true the scenario was designed for COW v. 1.4 as stated by the author in included doc file. But it is also true that there are more then a few posted AARs of DNO PBEMs played with TOAW3 (ver. 3.2). These AARs looked so interesting that they convinced me that TOAW may the right choice for what I was looking for at the time - good East Front wargaming engine at operational scale (it was obviously my very subjective opinion - YMMV). It was at the time of waiting for WiTE release and after that turned out to be a big disappointment (imho) there seem to be no real competition for TOAW in that category (sure, TOAW is much more then East Front engine only - it's just what I was looking for).

Thanks to your commitment, notably 3XBb.exe, the work will go on with Kharkov '43 and other updates!!!
