Air Upgrade Path

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Is there an easy way to see the upgrade path of planes other than through the Equipment Tab in CR? Like a complete tech tree?

There is no such display in the game. But it is possible to export aircraft data to CSV and create upgrade tables/tree in excel.

Is there a simple way to switch a set or all air groups to auto upgrade, perhaps from the commander's report? Or do you have to go through each group changing it by hand?

Once you "figure" things out, turn 1 will require many hours work but after that 20-30 mins per turn.
