Ctl-1 etc broken after patch?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Ctl-1 etc broken after patch?

Post by Grotius »

I'm having trouble getting the ctl-# "highlight" functions to work post-patch. E.g., if I hit ctl-5 to highlight infantry, infantry units flash a red border for an instant, and then it disappears. Except in Britain -- there I see them fine. Same with ctl-3, ctl-9, etc. It's a problem for front-line units, but not units in the rear, it seems.

Ctl-2 works fine, though.

Maybe it's just me? Thought I'd ask.

Did you press the r key (do you have the show rail button depressed)?

Maybe that was it? I just reloaded my game, and I had no trouble -- until I pressed the r key. With r toggled on, I see ctl-5 highlighting as a quick flash.

Still, earlier I thought it was happening regardless of whether I had r pressed. I don't usually keep r toggled on for very long, and I saw the flashing issue multiple times during a turn. Still, it's possible I did have r pressed throughout, I suppose.

I'll test it more tomorrow when I'm less sleepy. :)
