Casualty Report after air phase

Post by marion61 »

I've noticed, playing the WA in 43 Camp vs AI, that before I run the air phase, that the casualty report shows some very round numbers, and that they are always the same numbers when you restart the scenario. Not sure where these casualties are coming from since no action has taken place yet.

Does that account for the significant loss of VP's the first WA turn? My first WA turn I had no combat (I didn't invade anywhere), but I lost a significant amount of VP's to "Other Losses", meaning non-US troops.

You want me to upload a save? I'm running it again. According to the VP's I took 19343 Non-US casualties somewhere, and there was no ground combat or invasions. Just the air phase casualties.

Looks like I was wrong and baseline is not set at the start of the scenario, so these disabled squads will add to the VP calculation after first logistics.

Yes, these are counted in on turn 1, and is factored into the VP levels/game balance. WAD, just expect to start with a negative.
