Opening Movie for WitW

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

DuskoPopov, we did want the intro video to focus on the "War of Liberation" theme.

I'm not sure if the strategic bombers fits the "liberation theme" then... I don't intend to be mean, but in my opinion the video is dull. I realize that it is supposed to be mainly an Allied show, but having few images featuring Axis troops would make it much more dynamic. You could for example show the flak crews in action after showing the Allied bombers. I can think of fallschirmjäger in defensive fighting in Italy, German tanks crews scanning anxiously the skies during the Normandy campaign, something from the Ardennes offensive and lastly the German POWs. Just few iconic and easy to associate images would make the video much more interesting.

So much fuss over something 99% skip over by hitting the spacebar.

The other 1% renamed the video folder to avoid the spacebar....

Not really a lot of fuss - just an exchange of views on a subject some people feel that is worthy of discussion and debate.

Wow!
Sorry I spoke.
There will obviously be some bias from a US company and my comment was meant to be tongue in cheek.
There are similar examples on UK television all the time - got some footage of WWII? - then we'll use it regardless of the suitability. You know the sort of thing - a British D-Day veteran dies - we'll show some footage of Omaha beach. An American tank ace tells his story and it's backed by pictures of a mark VI Crusader in the desert. I'm afraid that young TV researchers have very little clue - and why should they? It's just me getting old and crotchety.
