INVASION!!!

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

INVASION!!!

Post by KWG »

From the patch notes...

27. When one player is set to be played by the AI, the human player is now able to see the units on the map during the amphibious landing phase, even when FOW is on. This may result in a little more information for the German player as Allied units will be fully visible, but we decided that player’s would appreciate seeing the invasions.

From what I've noticed tonight this is allowing me to see at the end of the Allies turn that they are going to invade in my turn.

I like the surprise of clicking to begin my turn and "WHAM!!!" INVASION.

Now its like "pssst! invasion coming... shhh."

I am might be wrong and just suffering from "1000 screen stare" tonight.

Its cool to see the invasion fleet but I miss the surprise.

You have to say it like Hans Christian Blech. "Invazshioone!!!"

The way my current campaign is going I think my eyes are closed.

You should never take that "one last look" out of the bunker.

I have put out signs that say "this beach is protected by neighborhood watch."

That's the scene I had in mind when posting this.

That feeling is lost, don't know if its the patch change or something else that let me see the invasion fleet moving position at end of allied turn.

"Invasion! They're coming!" one of my favorite books. Wrote under a false name.

Hans Christian Blech
He spent four years serving on the Russian Front in World War II and then in Soviet captivity until 1947.

I told you "Invasion! They're Coming!" before you even started our turn!

I remember exactly what he said to Lt. Col. Ocker ->>>>

"You'd better get Matrix on the line, quick, and adjust those reinforcements, or the WA are going to overrun my position on the 1st day of the invasion turn!! Better fix our air doctrines, too!!!"

(Disclaimer: the quote is just for flavor.)
