Hi,

The screen shots look great.

One question though: Is it possible to choose different looking flag symbols for Allied commands other than US? eg, for areas under Nationalist Chinese or Commonwealth command? On these screenshots it looks like all of the symbols are the US style white star on green background.

Thanks

For now we only have Allied and Japanese. I will put this on the list of suggestions.

I wonder if the screen shots were taken in the Zoomed In mode. New Guinea / Rabaul area looks about the same size as it does in UV - but the scale is different.

Yes different icons are going to be needed. I would rather see the US Flag like all the other games before also then the US Army symbol. Anzac and British forces also.

That's the regular zoom setting, but the hexes are 50 miles rather than 30 in UV. Also, it seems a bit off because it is squeezed into your web browser window. Imagine that picture stretched to occupy your whole screen and you get a better idea.

In WitP you can fit almost the whole UV map in the screen without scrolling around, which you cant do on the same screen resolution in UV. Also, WitP will support 1024x768 screen res.

Hi, Yes currently there is a trail. A trail is not a desirable supply or movement route. It only makes it possible. (movement in WITP requires land units to be within a certain range of trail/road/railroad) Supply movement from PM to Gili via the trail would not provide much.

It looks like Buin is located on Choiseul Island (screen shot 1). I can't tell for sure, since the white dot does not give me any information (I sure keep trying when I look at these screen shots!), but that's what it looks like. I hope this won't be the case in the final product.

The base is in the correct place but the lable is off...good catch, we'll get it fixed.

I think someone had mention before that different allied flag icons would give the Japanese player an unfair intelligence advantage. Not sure why.

I still cant figure out if there will be railways in the game or is it just that the symbol ( those grey lines) for major roads and rails are the same?

supply paths

Hi, There are trails (brown lines) Major roads (grey lines) and railroads (straight black lines) RR's move the most supply.

River movement may be added later (currently is not in game)

upgrading communications?

Post by wpurdom »

Is there any provision for building or upgrading communications (trails, roads) as one builds bases?

No, but it is n the list of requested improvments. I for one would really like to see this added to the game.
