North Italy Garrison

1. Rule Change (section 18.1.1) - Italy will never surrender prior to August 1943. In
August 1943, the German garrison value in Italy is never divided by 4 when
determining Italian surrender.

I guess my question would be that if the Italian's didn't surrender in the 1st turn of August, does having more CV's in the North help to prevent them from surrendering in August? And would it help to keep them from surrendering at all?

I don't know. But my new 1.00.08 game vs AI had the Italians not surrendering until November 43 almost a month after I invaded the Italian mainland.

If they don't surrender so swiftly or predictably, I think that's way better.

For the CV to count it has to be more than 10 hexes from Allied unit. The number rolled is rnd 200, so 200 cv will guarantee that they don't is the way that I read it.
