Air Transport Question

Post by Dereck »

When transporting paratroop units, do the transports have to be of the same nationality or doesn't it matter?

Thanks

Doesn't matter - just the same side.

Great then I have nothing to worry about moving all the RAF Transport planes into the IX Troop Transport HQ and using the RAF Transport HQ for all my recon missions.

Funnily enough, historically, the strategic recon group (106 PR Group) was in Coastal Command so not far wrong.

In England that lets me run up to 6 recon missions a turn without taking a mission away from any other air command.

In the Mediterranean I moved all the recon planes into the XII Troop Carrier Command since the only time I'd use the transports there would be air drops.

I'm only playing against the AI but against a person being able to fly 6 recon missions in each theatre per turn at different areas would definitely keep them guessing as to where you're going to attack.
