Admin points are looking a bit fluffy

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Admin points are looking a bit fluffy

Once again it looks like admin points are rather pointless. December 30th 44, Italain campaign and I have 500. Maybe they effect the Axis more but certainly not the AI as it just spams fortresses.

Allies don't really have a lot to spend them on, but the axis don't ever get enough to go around, but I understand the reasons why they did it that way.

You use APs to: build depots, priority repairs, upgrade/create airbases, replace leaders, build fortification units.

Building fort units is more expensive than WitE. So Axis spend a lot of them doing those. The Allies spend a lot of points on the depots, repairs, and airbases.

Leader changes are up to the player, but you can spend a lot of APs doing that too.

I rarely get over 200 APs in my pool as Allies - I spend a lot on creating and expanding airbases and the depots along with the priority repairs. Leadership changes tend to be when a leader keeps being a failure - but then I tend to have to spend 10 to 25 APs to do the switch.

How do I see if a leader is a failure?
