hardcopy of manual available

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

hardcopy of manual available

Post by scout1 »

Are there any plans on making the hardcopy of the manual available as a standalone product for purchase ?

Didn't figure on 300+ pages and went with the digital download only ..... re-thinking my choice and wondering about possible future options ....

You are really missing out if you didn't order it. My copy already found a place on my book shelf, right between Manstein's "Lost Victories" and Toland's "The Rising Sun".

I also bought the digital-only version and regret it. I'd be happy to pay the difference for the boxed version just for the manual, but that would probably screw things up at Matrix's end, in having to remove the disk. I suppose they could issue book-only copies, though, if the demand is high enough.

I bought the digital version, but printed the manual (in colour) and put it in a three ring binder. I print the readme's for each patch and put it in the front, and will use a highlighter (if my kids can find one for me) on important bits.

Toland's "Rising Sun". Read it as a teenager. I don't know if it is definitive, but I thought it was excellent at the time.

I think Matrix said something like "It's not possible now but we're investigating the possibility for the future"

Put the manual on an iPad. Saved $25 and shipping cost

And it is searchable.
