Air Support Level /Need

Post by Radagy »

Hi Guys,

Luftwaffe is not fliyng anymore so I checked my air bases to find the reason for that.
What I found was TOE set to 1 and Air Support Level stuck to 0. While I could manually set TOE to 100, I can't do anything to change support level. Just waited for a few turns but nothing changed.
I'm I missing something?

Have you got a depot nearby to provide the freight which will turn into support? Also set the supply priority of the Airbase to 4.

A level 4 Depot is on that same hex.
Air Base Supply Priority was set to 3. I set it to 4 but after one turn nothing happened: still 0 Air Support Level.

Upload a save to Tech Support and I'll have a look.

John, the Bologna depot seems to be spotty at distributing supplies. I've noticed sometimes the garrison forces stationed there drop to a 20's or 30's supply levels. The units there seem to have a lot of admin failures for supply checks. Even so, sitting on a depot they ought to get something.

Here is 12thSS Pz, attached directly to AG C. AG C has a 3 supply priority and Bologna is a level 4 depot.

Let me know if you need a save.

Here is the savegame file. I think you can move the whole thread to the support areaa of the Forum.

A possible factor might be manpower. If you are missing the manpower then the system might not be assigning any support squads.

In the save Bologna has one air group attached to an Italian airbase - not like the screenshot you posted - is this correct?

No, I don't think so. Try this other save game, taken a few turns earlier

This is a screenshot from the Production Screen. May be it's a matter of manpower shortage as MechFo suggested.

Wow, I've never seen German manpower get that low. Do you have a lot of units on refit on the eastern front?

It's Battle for Italy, not the entire campaign. According to the scoreboard things are not going bad. At turn 70 Axis is winning 2,8 to 1. I just want to see if the score will drop below 1,5 in the last twenty turns.
