Logistics question

Post by NotOneStepBack »

The manual constantly says that resupply and replacements depend on the distance of a unit to a depot. I thought it was the distance of the unit to HQ, and the HQ is the controller of these things from the depot. As it stands now I put my HQs on depots if I can and keep my combat units attached to the HQ within command range in order to get supplies and replacements. This is dependent on the truck pool then right to go from HQ to unit?

This seems to work. Is there something I'm missing?

The supply line in WitW traces from the depot to the unit. The only thing that HQ distance affects is the leadership and SU checks. But I could be wrong about that . . . [:)]

Depots are the 'supply hubs' in WITW, not HQ as in WITE. You need to keep depots close to front units in order to keep them well supplied and to get replacements. You also need to manage the depots in the rear that are no longer required as they can hold up trucks that are required to MOVE the freight from depots to units/bases.
