editor for v3.2?

Post by teukros »

Hello hopefully this will be a simple question (of course to the uninitiated, questions concerning aircraft range and bombload can seem very simple  ).

What is/are the best editor(s) for pacwar 3.2 and where do I get it/them?

I downloaded and installed v3.0 last night but it looked like it only contained the excel spreadsheets for v1.3 and v2.1?

I just want to make a very simple change... I want to eliminate those three small oil sources on the Japanese home islands.

And maybe make submarine torpedoes more effective :D

Best I've seen is the BEAR editors that was for the origial PACWAR. Ver 1.2(???) is what I have.

Bought it YEARS ago.... Don't know if you still can get it...

But, you can do TONS of edits, from leadership to bases to resources...

The editor for V 2.1 seems to work fine for me. (Although you need at least Excel 97 to run it properly.) I'd be careful about using anything designed for PacWar 1.x on the latest versions.

There is also a program call Gedit (version 1.4) that works, but you have to have a good idea what you're editing.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

I think the Excel spreadsheet version numbers are not linked to specific PacWar versions, they just indicate the evolution of the spreadsheet. I'm using the v2.1 spreadsheet with PacWar v 3.2 without any problems.

Hope this helps...
